Everyone is getting so excited for the Harry Potter CAL–and who can blame them?
Like the Whovian CAL, the Harry Potter CAL will be worked in the C2C method. It will consist of 13 squares total. Twelve squares will be 25 blocks x 25 blocks, and each block will be worked in the half double crochet stitch. The center square, however, will be 50 blocks x 50 blocks (and, spoilers: it will be a beautiful Hogwarts crest!).
There will be a square each for Harry, Ron, and Hermione. As for the other nine squares, I need help deciding what they should be! Vote for your favorites in the poll below. The nine squares with the most votes by Sunday, November 7th will be our winners!
Once the poll has closed, I will start designing the graphs and then put together a yardage estimate/suggested yarns chart in PDF form and post it here on the blog. That chart will be available in early December, so there will be lots of time for everyone to stock up on yarn and even order it online, if needed.
You can vote for as many squares as you want, as many times as you want.
UPDATE: The squares have been chosen!
The squares that were pre-determined are:
- Hogwarts Crest (larger center square)
The squares you voted for are:
- Hogwarts Express
- Dobby the House Elf
- Sorting Hat
- Golden Snitch
- Platform 9 3/4
- Dark Mark
- Deathly Hallows Symbol
- A Weasley Jumper
