C2C Doggo Blanket

GIVEAWAY ALERT: Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post to find out how you can win a copy of this pattern!

About a month ago, my husband and I decided to expand our little family. We adopted a sweet rescue dog from a local rescue organization, and let me tell you–we are obsessed pet parents!

Meet Bosco, our silly boxer/pittie mix. He’s so much fun and loves snuggles almost as much as he likes going for walks. He had a rough start to life, but he’s settling into our home and our hearts so fast!

As soon as we decided to start looking for a rescue dog, I started working on this C2C Doggo Blanket pattern. I knew I wanted to make my future furbaby something special, and since graphghans are my specialty, I decided to make a dog-themed blanket that was gender-neutral but bold. My husband loves plaid, so I designed each of the squares of this blanket to mimic the bold style of buffalo plaid, and I love how it turned out!

One of my favorite things is that you can customize this blanket by using any set of colors you wish–you definitely don’t have to stick with my plaid recommendations (but they sure helped it turn out great)!

I used worsted-weight yarn and a size J/6mm hook for this project. I also lined it with fleece to make it extra cozy (which my pupper loves).

In this pattern, I’ve included all of the charts/graphs for the individual designs in both left-handed and right-handed versions. I’ve also included a detailed yarn yardage chart, lots of notes on the graphghan-making process, and a bunch of photos! It’s even got a link to my C2C Basics video tutorial series–don’t worry, C2C is easier than it looks! If you can do a chain stitch, single crochet stitch, and a double crochet stitch, then you can make this blanket!

At this time, the C2C Doggo Blanket pattern will not be released as a free pattern on this website. However, it is available for purchase from my Etsy shop. Each pattern purchase you make helps keep Two Hearts Crochet stay up and active on the web (and also buys treats for Bosco!). If you choose to purchase this pattern, please know that your support means so much to me! I know you’re going to love this pattern. So thank you for your purchase! And of course, please contact me if you have any questions.

  1. Amazing blanket!
If we won I would need to make 2, my doggos are Kismet (4yo shipoo/terrier), and Neko (6yo chihuahua/dachshund)
But we all know that cat will end up stealing them!

  2. I would actually make 2. One for my sweet Bella a lab we have had for 4 years and Remmy and German Shephard we have had a year. They r both my whole families love. They make us the happiest when we are sad. This would be perfect to take camping to use to sleep on on their air mattresses

  3. I would make this for my wiener dogs. But i think the cat would steel this right away.

  4. I would make this for my two little Chihuahuas they love to snuggle and definitely love blankets!

  5. This is Sooo Gorgeous.

  15. I would make it twice – one for our rescued pup Brady, and another for my grandsons dog, Lola

  16. My daughter has two golden retrievers and she is foster director for AGK rescue for golden retrievers in Knoxville. She would love to have this blanket!!! She has no children but the dogs are her kids and her life. She works tirelessly trying to find good homes for these rescue dogs.

  18. I would love to make this for my nephew. He lost the pup he grew up with just a couple months ago. I would love too give him this to snuggle in when he thinks of her.

  19. What a beautiful blanket! I’ve never done a c2c pattern and would love to make this for my pup Harley. Hopefully, in the time it would take me to finish, he will be out of his chewing phase.

  20. This is the most adorable blanket ever! I’m definitely going to have to make two of these for my German Shepherds, Roxy and Thor. <3

  21. I would make this for my In-Laws’ dog in an attempt to get him to stop stealing all their other blankets!

  22. I’d love to make this for my grandparents’ crazy, adorable dog, Blizzard. She’s a fan of tackling visitors with puppy hugs (literally, she can knock me over!). Though she’s crazy, she also likes to cuddle and can be very lovable when she feels like it.

  23. I would love to make this for my three fur babies, Teddy, Felix and Blaze. They are so spoiled.

  24. I would make this for my daughter! She just lost her sweet doggie Kenny and adopted a new shelter pup. This would be an awesome blanket to commemorate both!

  25. I would make it for my 8 year old springer spaniel milly as she seems to have given herself the role of crochet project tester or maybe she’s just hinting she wants one of her own.
