GIVEAWAY ALERT: Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post to find out how you can win a copy of this pattern!

About a month ago, my husband and I decided to expand our little family. We adopted a sweet rescue dog from a local rescue organization, and let me tell you–we are obsessed pet parents!

Meet Bosco, our silly boxer/pittie mix. He’s so much fun and loves snuggles almost as much as he likes going for walks. He had a rough start to life, but he’s settling into our home and our hearts so fast!

As soon as we decided to start looking for a rescue dog, I started working on this C2C Doggo Blanket pattern. I knew I wanted to make my future furbaby something special, and since graphghans are my specialty, I decided to make a dog-themed blanket that was gender-neutral but bold. My husband loves plaid, so I designed each of the squares of this blanket to mimic the bold style of buffalo plaid, and I love how it turned out!

One of my favorite things is that you can customize this blanket by using any set of colors you wish–you definitely don’t have to stick with my plaid recommendations (but they sure helped it turn out great)!

I used worsted-weight yarn and a size J/6mm hook for this project. I also lined it with fleece to make it extra cozy (which my pupper loves).

In this pattern, I’ve included all of the charts/graphs for the individual designs in both left-handed and right-handed versions. I’ve also included a detailed yarn yardage chart, lots of notes on the graphghan-making process, and a bunch of photos! It’s even got a link to my C2C Basics video tutorial series–don’t worry, C2C is easier than it looks! If you can do a chain stitch, single crochet stitch, and a double crochet stitch, then you can make this blanket!

At this time, the C2C Doggo Blanket pattern will not be released as a free pattern on this website. However, it is available for purchase from my Etsy shop. Each pattern purchase you make helps keep Two Hearts Crochet stay up and active on the web (and also buys treats for Bosco!). If you choose to purchase this pattern, please know that your support means so much to me! I know you’re going to love this pattern. So thank you for your purchase! And of course, please contact me if you have any questions.
