Most of us know that negative self talk can, of course, negatively effect how we feel. But you know what I’ve learned? The opposite is equally as true, and positive internal dialogue can be a very powerful tool in your mental health utility belt (and yes, I am picturing a Batman-inspired utility belt).
Sometimes it’s hard to remember happy times, and I’ve found that one of the best ways to remind myself of those moments is to keep photos around my home and workplace. (No really, they’re everywhere.) As we focus on our feelings and try to find more joy in our lives, I invite you to try hanging up a favorite picture or two in places you frequent. Over this next week, look at that photo. I hope it sparks your day with joy!
