Let’s be honest with each other: weĀ all love some Disney movie or another, right? Like many of you, I was practically raised by our large collection of Disney movies on VHS tapes. My parents have often said that I was the happiest toddler–just give me The Jungle Book on repeat and I was perfectly content!
My siblings and I all had different favorites–I favoredĀ The Jungle Book, my sister lovedĀ 101Ā Dalmatians, and my brother adored the little whistling rooster inĀ Robin Hood–but we could pretty much all agree on some of the 90’s classics likeĀ Aladdin,Ā The Little Mermaid, andĀ Mulan.
Our love for all things Disney never really went away. At some point in our childhood, our parents gifted us this Wonderful WorldĀ Disney Trivia game, a board game based on answering trivia questions on pretty much all things Disney prior to 1997. This game has two sets of cards: a deck for adults and a deck for kids. Naturally, we’ve always just played the kids deck. We’ve played so often that we have the cards memorized, so we usually just play where you are given the answer and you have to guess the question…in exact words. In fact, I just found out there’s a sequel to this game, which I’ve just purchased, and I’m looking forward to an epic rematch the next time we’re together.
When I was a sophomore in college, I learned about the Disney College Program and applied as soon as possible. If you’re unfamiliar with the program, it’s a program that houses and educates college students interested in the hospitality field–a paid internship program of sorts for which you can (depending on your major) get college credit while you work. I didn’t get any internship credit (English major, so…), but those six months I spent working at Walt Disney World were some of the best times of my life. I made some amazing friends and learnedĀ so much. Plus, I finally got to experience Disney Magic firsthand. If you can, apply to the DCP!
To this day, my love for Disney has not diminished (I’m actually listening to Disney hits on Spotify while I write this post). Back in 2016, I designed a Disney Princess & Villains graphghan as a crochet along project–you’ve probably seen it here, right?
Well, I’ve finally designed a collection of Disney princess to go with it, and they turned outĀ amazing. I’m particularly fond of Beast and Aladdin. Aren’t they great?
I designed these Disney Prince graphs as a guest post on the Fandom Knitting + Crochet blog, and it was so much fun! I highly encourage you to read that guest post here. I’ve really enjoyed working with Jeris from Fandom Knitting + Crochet, who is just as much of a fangirl as I am! In fact, Jeris will be guest posting here next week, and I know you’re just going toĀ love what she’s got worked up for you.
For now, enjoy these Disney Prince graphs! You can even mix and match them with the Princesses and the Villains to make a truly custom Disney blanket.
You can find the full PDF collection of Disney Prince graphs on the Princess & Villains graphghan page.
