Life has been a bit crazy around here lately, and I’m so glad that things are finally settling into a nice calm–for now!
I know it won’t last though, because we’re gearing up for some fun summer house projects. We’ll be putting a new roof on our house in the next couple of weeks (and by we, I mean my husband!) That means while we’ll make it through the next 50 winters with no leaks or drips (we hope!), there are no trips to the yarn store in my near future. *cries* Oh well. That’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.
But before the work begins, we’re having a little bit of fun! The hubs has never been to a concert before, and I bought him tickets to see Clint Black as an early anniversary present. (I know–best wife ever!) We’re both usually in bed by nine, so the late night concert tomorrow will be fun, but tiring. We are pretty excited–we haven’t been on a date that wasn’t dinner or a movie (or yarn shopping–who say’s that’s not a date?) for a long time. It will be really nice to get out and about for a little while before the chaos ensues again.
Speaking of chaos, I totally forgot that this week’s designs were supposed to be House Baelish. Instead, I’ve put together House Frey’s, because I’m just too far along to turn back now! This means House Baelish will be shared next week with House Tully (it’s probably more fitting like that, anyway).
I’ve never been a big Frey fan myself, but their sigil is one of my absolutely favorites. Look at those towers! And the river! Also, I think their house words are some of the best. “We stand together.” Who wouldn’t want that as a motto? (Not that Frey really embodies those words, but whatever…)
This is the second-to-last week for the GoT CAL. Next week, we’ll be posting the last two house designs: Baelish and Tully. I also have a couple of “bonus” designs in the works, which I hope to have posted soon.
This PDF contains the graphs for the 50×75 banner AND the 50×50 house sigil and house words squares. Stay tuned for written instructions, which will be coming over the next few weeks!
