Oh, it’s only Wednesday. This week is taking such an incredibly long time to pass! Real life is seriously starting to interfere with my crochet time. Seriously.
I want so badly to just sit on my couch and crochet the day away. Darn this day job of mine! But, on the other hand, you can’t buy yarn without money!
Aside from the Firefly CAL and my Hufflepuff blanket, I’ve got a few other irons in the fire just waiting to be worked on.
I just finished the Star Trek amis, and I had the brilliant idea the other day to start a Supernatural ami set. Clearly, I like to be busy (and a little miserable). I don’t know if this will be anything more than a dream for a while yet. Would you like to see a (small) Supernatural ami pattern set? I’m thinking Dean, Sam and Castiel…and maybe Bobby…
I’ve also been doing some serious thinking and design work for our upcoming Game of Thrones CAL, which starts Friday, April 7th. Pretty much all I know at this point is that it will feature house words and crests of all the main major houses, and that I’ll be using Stylecraft Special DK yarn. (Seriously, this yarn is my favorite!)
If you want more details about the Game of Thrones CAL, check out this page. As we get closer, I’ll be posting more information there. I’ll also be putting together an official Game of Thrones CAL page here on the blog. Hopefully that will be ready to go live in the next couple of weeks or so. Once the designs are done, I’ll be able to put together the yarn yardage/color chart.
EDIT: The Game of Thrones CAL page is now live! Check it out here.
Also, as promised, I am working on a video tutorial showing how to read my graphs. The video has been made, but I’m just starting the editing process. I hope to have that done tonight, but we’ll see how the evening progresses. As I’ve mentioned in the past here on the blog, this video will aim to teach crafters how to read the graphs I make for these CALs. I’ve tried to go into as much detail as I can, so hopefully I will have answered all of your questions. Look for that video soon!
EDIT: This video is now live, too! Check it out here.
