The Dino CAL: Bonus Squares

Looking for a little something extra to add to your Dino CAL blanket? Look no further!

When I finally finished all of my dino squares, I laid them all out on the table and decided that something was missing. Since I had made a name panel for my little sister’s Princess & Villains CAL blanket, I decided to do the same for my little brother’s Dino CAL blanket!

I designed the following panel to go in the center of his blanket, and I realized that these dino eggs would be a great addition to anyone’s Dino CAL blanket!

There are two dino eggs to choose from, and you can make as many of these squares as you’d like. There is a whole egg and a hatched egg, so take your pick!

You can download the PDF for the eggs here.

You can also download the PDF for the entire Zachary name panel here, if you’re interested.

These PDFs are graph-only and do not contain written instructions. The name panel doesn’t even include arrows, because I just never got around to adding them. But I wanted to share them anyway!

These are the last planned designs for the Dino CAL. I’ve almost finished crocheting Zach’s name panel, and I’ll be ready to join my squares just as soon as it’s complete. Then I just have to add my backing, add in some ties to keep the back firmly attached to the front, and I’ll be done with the Dino CAL!

This has been one of my favorite projects, and I hope you’ve enjoyed it, too. I hope you enjoy these bonus designs! Happy crafting!

I fell in love with crochet in college, and since then I've made hats, scarves, afghans, stuffed animals, Christmas ornaments and so much more! I also recently taught myself how to knit, and now I have twice as many reasons to buy more yarn! "She who dies with the most yarn wins!"

  1. My grandsons name is the same so this is a lovely surprise bonus for me to add to his blanket, thank you for all the designs you do. love them!

  2. I love the name panel. My grandson’s name is Perseus… Do you have “letter” graphs I could follow so I can try and fit it in?
