The Dino CAL: Triceratops

Happy Friday, crafters! This week’s square features one of my all-time favorite dinosaurs: the triceratops. Ever since I was little and watched The Land Before Time, I loved the three-horns. Maybe I’m not of popular opinion in that regard, but oh well. Three-horns for the win!

I got about halfway done with my triceratops square before I ran out of my background color. Drat! But I’m going yarn shopping tomorrow and I plan to buy several skeins in the color I need, so I’ll be prepared for our next three squares. Here’s what the triceratops square should look like:

You can download the PDF for the triceratops square here.

The PDF contains a graph AND written instructions designed for use with the C2C stitch, starting from the right-hand corner of the square.

The completion of this square marks the halfway point for the Dino CAL–can you believe it? I know I can’t! Next week’s square is the brontosaurus (another fan favorite!), which uses more blue yarn–but feel free to change up the colors as you see fit! Until then, happy Friday, and happy crafting!

I fell in love with crochet in college, and since then I've made hats, scarves, afghans, stuffed animals, Christmas ornaments and so much more! I also recently taught myself how to knit, and now I have twice as many reasons to buy more yarn! "She who dies with the most yarn wins!"
