Today marks the release of the first square of our Dino CAL: the velociraptor! It’s everyone’s favorite–or is that just me?
Keep in mind that you can use any background color you’d like. I think a variegated yarn would be such fun! Personally, I am opting for a nice light gray background for all of my squares. I will also be joining them in gray, and I plan to use some kind of fun dino-friendly fabric to back it with.
I am not quite halfway done with my velociraptor square, but I hope to be over the weekend. I’ll post a real photo when I get a chance! In the meantime, here’s what the square should look like:
You can download the PDF for the velociraptor square here.
The PDF contains a graph AND written instructions designed for use with the C2C stitch, starting from the right-hand corner of the square.
Next week’s square will be the pterodactyl, so stay tuned for that!
I’m off to the dentist’s for a root canal in a few hours, but at least that means a half day at work and (possibly) some good crochet time in the afternoon! Until next time, happy crafting!

No need to sign up! You can download the graphs here on the blog. They’ll be available for the foreseeable future! 😊
Can this be done in single or Hfc ?
Absolutely!
