Square #6: Harry Potter (Harry Potter CAL)

Hello crafters, and happy Friday!

We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for this week’s star of the CAL: it’s Harry Potter!

The boy who started it all–we owe this entire CAL to Mr. Harry Potter! So here he is in his very own square.

Note that for the glasses and the scar, you can either hand-stitch them on (like we did for the Hogwarts Express number boards) or you can surface crochet them into place (this is the method I used, and I used SC instead of slip stitches–bonus effect: they’re 3D!).

The PDF pattern contains graphs and written instructions for both the smaller figure version of Harry (shown below) AND a full-face version, so you can make sure you pick whichever version you prefer!

You can download the PDF for square #6 here!

The PDF contains graphs (with arrows!) and written instructions for the square. The square is designed to be worked from the lower right-hand corner up to the upper left-hand corner.

Square #7 is up next, and it’s Dobby the House Elf!

I fell in love with crochet in college, and since then I've made hats, scarves, afghans, stuffed animals, Christmas ornaments and so much more! I also recently taught myself how to knit, and now I have twice as many reasons to buy more yarn! "She who dies with the most yarn wins!"
