Alternate Square: Broomstick (Harry Potter CAL)

One of my favorite things about the wizarding world is the magical game of Quidditch! I don’t know about you, but I wanted a Nimbus 2000 when I was eleven! So, by popular demand we now have a Broomstick alternate square for our Harry Potter CAL. I modeled this particular broomstick after the Firebolt because I just love the look of it: sleek, daring, and full of excitement! Whoosh!

You can download the PDF for the alternate Broomstick HP CAL Alt Square – Broomstick square here!

The PDF contains graphs (with arrows!) and written instructions for the square. The square is designed to be worked from the lower right-hand corner up to the upper left-hand corner.

I will be posting the graphs for our other alternate squares later this week. (There are some great things to come, so stay tuned for more updates!

I fell in love with crochet in college, and since then I've made hats, scarves, afghans, stuffed animals, Christmas ornaments and so much more! I also recently taught myself how to knit, and now I have twice as many reasons to buy more yarn! "She who dies with the most yarn wins!"

  1. The broomstick graph is not included on this page. Is there anyway I can get the graph? thanks. I love Harry Potter and hope to get my very young grandson to love it as he gets older. I will make him one, too.

    1. Hi Betsy–it looks like my link didn’t take the last time. I’ve re-uploaded the broomstick square and tested the link. You should be able to download it now. 🙂
