Weekend Projects

Happy Monday, crafters!

I had a busy crafting weekend. I went yarn shopping on Saturday (yay!) and spend the rest of the day consumed by chores and charity events. Sunday was much better; I was able to start–and finish!–several projects.

The first couple of things I made were some infant hats for my cousin’s upcoming baby shower. Aren’t they adorable?

I made the striped hat from the same pattern as the adorable Aviator Hat, which was graciously provided by Sarah Zimmerman of the Repeat Crafter Me blog. This aviator hat is so darn cute–it might be my new favorite thing!

I also made a beautiful cowl for a friend of mine using this easy Chunky Double Crochet Cowel pattern from Stephanie at the All About Ami blog.

This pattern is worked in a series of dc and ch 1 stitches and it’s just lovely! It’s also super cozy and warm–now I want to make one for myself!

Now that the weekend has passed and I’ve finished these projects, it’s back to work on the Whovian CAL for me. Square #5 should be available by next weekend, if all goes well!

Happy crafting (and allons-y!),

I fell in love with crochet in college, and since then I've made hats, scarves, afghans, stuffed animals, Christmas ornaments and so much more! I also recently taught myself how to knit, and now I have twice as many reasons to buy more yarn! "She who dies with the most yarn wins!"
