Saturday Morning Musings

Hello, crafters!

I am very excited about my latest yarn-crafting purchase: a beautiful yarn bowl from Furls Fiberarts!

These bowls are just gorgeous, and I can’t wait for mine to get here. And they’re even on sale!

I also paid a visit to my favorite local yarn shop: Paradise Fibers. I love their selection and their value. Everytime I walk in, I feel like family.

I went in for a new size D/3.25mm hook (look for the next Tuesday Tip for a lengthy explanation as to why!), and I came out with so much more than that.

Because my collection of green worsted-weight yarns was getting a little slim, and because our next Disney Princess calls for plenty of varied greens, I decided to pick up a few more. Thanks, Paradise Fibers!

My favorite yarns are probably the Cascade Yarns 128 Superwash yarns from Seattle’s Cascade Yarns. Paradise Fibers carries it in dozens of colors, so I can always find something to fit my mood!

I also came across this little guy–a super cute turtle measuring tape from Lantern Moon! So adorable!

Now I’m back to working on Mulan and a certain tiny dragon friend. But at least I have a chance to use my new Kollage square crochet hook!

Happy crafting!

I fell in love with crochet in college, and since then I've made hats, scarves, afghans, stuffed animals, Christmas ornaments and so much more! I also recently taught myself how to knit, and now I have twice as many reasons to buy more yarn! "She who dies with the most yarn wins!"
